These are various studies, visualizations, and process documents from an in-progress commission for the US Census Bureau. This large, site-specific project will install in the lobby of their new headquarters, a Skidmore, Owings & Merrill design, in Q3 2007.
All form and color are derived from US state and county information, 1790-2000. More details here.
