A dynamic still (or a motionless animation), this work is a photo-realistic, yet completely synthetic, presentation of a mammal skull and candlestick.  Over the course of four-plus hours, these objects, rendered in a (mostly) 17th century Dutch tradition, are constantly, but imperceptibly, changing in form, position, and material.  As the skull evolves though animal-types including bear, human, baboon, and boar, intermediate forms generate a massive diversity of fictional hybrids.
