Reformatting a project originally created in 2002, this map
(2014) is a presentation of 100,000 abstract paintings.
Rather than being hand-made, however, they are the product of an automaton.
This artist-authored software system was designed to relentlessly generate an
infinite variety of such paintings. In general, each one appears to be the direct
product of human thought and touch and, as such, might be said to pass a Turing Test
for mid-20th Century abstract painting.
