The Narrative Frame and Narrative Walk projects are the result of custom, in-house GAN models trained on three types of visual “narratives”: websites, newspapers, and illuminated manuscripts. Iterations of this work include prints, wallpapers, & videos.

These three works each feature a custom monitor set on a small wallpaper. Each wallpaper features a grid of images drawn from popular websites, newspapers, and illuminated manuscripts.  These bespoke datasets are arranged by luminosity, while the videos display an animation of our GAN model “walking” through the latent space of each image dataset.
